Looking to sell a piano?
Let us sell your piano for you as your AGENT
I may be getting older and a bit decrepit but my passion for pianos is undiminished!
I want to see all pianos that are in good condition being played and enjoyed rather than deteriorating from lack of use and regular professional maintenance.
Therefore I will be focusing more on my work as a piano selling agent for private sellers. If you want to sell your piano look no further!
This is the way it works ……..
You can make an appointment for me to come and see your piano, inspect and assess it for value. I will take photos and make a note of its dimensions, its age, and a general description of its condition, then I will publish it on this website. For this service there is a £75 fee. (Hertfordshire)
In addition, if I am successful in introducing buyer to you there will be a 7% commission payable to me. For pianos that sell for £750 or under there is flat commission fee of £50.
Please note that it will be a private transaction between you and the buyer, they will pay you directly, and I will recommend a piano mover to them if necessary and they are responsible for paying for the removal.
As I can’t go traipsing around Hertfordshire for nothing, for pianos that are sadly not up to scratch for putting on my website there will be a £50 charge for my visit, time and advice (Hertfordshire)
Pianos that are in tune and sound good are more likely to sell so if you want me to tune the piano on my visit please let me know, the all-in charge for this (together with the services previously described) is £160.
The advantages of selling your piano this way are that it will have my
professional endorsement as an instrument fit for purpose and at a fair price, usually much more than a dealer will give you!
I regularly have people contact me looking for pianos in all price ranges.
The advantages to buyers are obvious of course, they know they’ll be buying a piano which is sound, works well, is tunable and priced realistically.
I reserve the right not to advertise your piano if, in my opinion, it is
not fit for purpose.
